The Forest Flu is a sickness experienced by most people after attending the Electric Forest Festival in Rothbury, Michigan. The combination of wearing your immune system down after 4 straight days of partying, with sharing germs with people from all areas of the country, as well high levels of dust on the festival grounds, leads to a high percentage of festival attendees to report various symptoms that coincide with the common cold, influenza and sinus infections.
Forest Flu does not directly imply, but can include other diseases transferred through unsafe sex and unsafe drug sharing.
My friends and I all got sick after we got back from Electric Forest. We definitely all got some of the Forest Flu....it happens every year.

When a man suffers from a minor illness, typically a cold, but complains of severe symptoms, such as severe pain and nausea, they are said to be suffereing from man-flu. The female perspective is typically that the afflicted man is suffering from attention-seeking behaviour, or that men have a lower pain threshold because they aren't designed to give birth. The male perspective is that actually it does hurt, and I will have another cup of hot chocolate thank-you.
