The word “Term” is used for school, such as “first term, second term”. It has more meanings too. For example, a kind of language or a branch of studying.
“The musical term ‘leitmotiv’.” “It’s been a year at school, It’s already second term.” “Today’s the first day of school, also the first term.”
"Short term" so "What happens WITHIN your lifespan (rather than outside of it)" Hedonistic which means "Your own desire forged by your own will or pleasure seeking" and Gratification means "Satisfaction of desire or pleasure seeking. It's a semanticly redundant phrase that Jordan likes to get paid to spout that literally translates to "Now pleasure pleasure"

Amd doesn't the Dunning Kruger effect demonstrate an inverse correlation between confidence and competence? If their not competence isn't it likely that their confidence would be high? And the issue exploding into nebulous plume of semantics regarding what constitutes 'competence and confidence' for example if you look at Leonardo Decaprio he's one of the most competent actors of all time. Clearly pursuing short term mating. 4 to 5 years max. Jordan peterson believes it takes at least to years to even get to know a person and he also purports to believe that the only true consent is marriage.
