an athlete that can jump, kick, stunt, fly, catch, throw, tumble, etc... he/she brings spirit to the team he/she is cheering for and encourages them on no matter what.
not all cheerleaders are sluts, preppy, and stupid. maybe some are though... if you believe all the movies and what the media shows, then you are truly stupid. Movies such as bring it on are satires, and show some of the assumptions people have about cheerleaders.
on my squad, if you have anything less than a C, you cannot cheer until you bring your grade up.

a veeeery HARD SPORT that requires strength and flexibility. for all of u assholes who say that cheer is not a sport, I'd LOVE to see u try it. seriously go out there in a hot uniform and preform a 3 min routine involving complicated stunts (what idiots call "lifting people up") at LEAST 3 times throughout the whole routine while screaming at the top of ur lungs while sharply pronouncing the words trying to "lift" someone obove ur head or throw them 15-20 ft in the air.....I would PAY to see all u football idiots lift a girl above your head right now....using the proper technique!....it involves doing a dance routine that is to be FLAWLESS, it involves jumping....no not jumping around flailing ur arms around like a bimbo....I mean jumping (toe-touch, pike, hurdlers)....ya most of u retards can't even touch your toes on the ground let alone hiper-extend them and have them together again all in a matter of about 1 second, it involves tumbling....not cartwheels and summersalts....but all the way from stading back handsprings, toe-touch back handspring, to tucks and lay-outs....which I can pretty much garuntee u don't know what all those even are. and try practicing for about 3 hours EVERYDAY falling on your ass and getting punched in the face, and conditioning like NO OTHER....probably even more than most highschool football teams. now all u football/basketball retards that say that all THAT is not a sport....go out and show me all of that while the whole time making retarded facial expressions. now I'd appreciate it if u didn't say another negitive thing about cheerleading until u do all of that.....and finish w/5 1st place trophies. then you can give me a call.

A hard working young female, who usually has some background in gymnastics, who participates in a sport to throw other girls in the air (or gets thrown and does numerous tricks that need total balance). The young females also try to keep school spirit up. Usually have a bad tendency to fall into the stereotype, unfortunately. Not all the girls are like that and most do very well.
Not everyone is jealous of a cheerleader...in fact most poke fun at cheerleaders out of sheer principle.
When most girls are really young it is a sport that most want to participate in. (I said most not all and that's where I came from they had a poll that stated 78% secretly wanted to be a cheerleader before the age of 8).
Cheerleaders are strong mentally and physically because of all the animosity among classmates and due to the vigourous work in practice. A cheerleader is a tough person mainly on herself/himself. Being judged by peers on game days and at competitions does that.
Very bubbly and can seem "dumb" to outsiders. Tend to have a lot of inside jokes and are mostly very talkative and loud.
Are also known as spirit squads or clubs.

Cheerleading IS a sport..for all of you who say its easy go to ONE day of COMPETETIVE cheerleading practice. We condition like you wouldnt believe. We have to be in exelant shape to last through our 5 minuite ruitings will holding 110 lbs over our heads. You people have NEVER tried cheering so why talk shit about it? honestly...get lives...

Young girls. With the exception of the rare flamer, these girls believe they are athletes. It is argued often, but truth is, they are certainly not.
Competition cheerleading is such a joke, do those slutty cheerleaders truly believe they are athletes?

EVIL CHEERLEADER:
A stupid, self-centered BITCH who only cares for herself. She sleeps with the entire football/basketball team and rejects nice guys who would treat them right for retards who only want to sex with them. They are dumb as hell and cheat off of smart people to barely pass all their classes. Usually physically and mentally weak so they have one of their jock boyfriends stick up for them. This is how I thought about ALL cheerleaders until I met one like the next description.
GOOD CHEERLEADER:
A kind, caring person who is NOT rude and self-centered. They are not sluts who sleeps around with jocks. They will give a nice guy a chance to show them real love. These cheerleaders are smart and honest and don't cheat off peoples stuff to pass and sometimes be some of the smartest people in the school. Good cheerleaders are hard workers and dedicated. They can be quite strong (especially bases who lift other cheerleaders). They stand up for themselves most of the time even though they have many people to back them up.
ALL CHEERLEADERS: are hott!
To all cheerleaders,
Most people who talk sh*t about cheerleaders have never gotten to know one or have only known an evil one. I've gotten to know an evil cheerleader so I used to hate cheerleaders. Then I met a good cheerleader and now I don't hate them anymore. When you defend your sport don't rant and bitch at the person fiercely because that person will see you as an immature bitch. Calmly explain how much hard work it takes and how cheerleaders are not all selfish. If that peron still doesn't get it, the person is not worth your time.

An athletic sport which requires strength and endurance. Involves tumbling, stunting, jumps, dance, and yelling.
Requires lots of training and hard work.
For the cheerleading tryout, you had to have a toe-touch, back hand spring, and two good cheers.
