Swallow the knife

Verb. To put a spin on an old cliche to make it seem more original to your audience. Usually the spin is ridiculous and idiosyncratic, but sometimes it can totally redeem a passage.

The term comes from the old cliche of a spy cutting through the rope (s)he is caught up in with a knife that (s)he finds in her pockets that the guards did not pat down correctly. A writer might put a spin on the old cliche by having the spy vomit up the knife, thus making it at least somewhat original.

Writer: Did Josh finally fix the story?
Writer 2: Yeah, his explanation for why the character killed all of the bounty hunters went from "because they killed his family" to "because they were incredibly intelligent game show hosts on Mars.
Writer: Damn, he really knows how to swallow the knife.
Writer 2: Tell me about it.

verb
In Call of Duty where you go to shoot someone and in your excitement press too hard on the control stick and melee helplessly whilst your opponent guns you down.

"I would have totally just owned you if I didn't panic knife!"

playdoh knife

An alternative to the traditional brewers droop. As in trying to attain penetration is a bit like stabbing someone with a playdoh knife, its not going going in.

I took her home on friday night but couldn't fuck her, it was like i was trying to stab her in the fanny with a playdoh knife.

knife rips

it gets you super blazed with a little piece of weed.
you take 2 butter knives stick them in the burner on the oven till they get red hot then you place a piece of weed in between the knives and squish it together and suck up the smoke threw a paper towel roll

Knife Party

A spontaneous game of cat-and-mouse where the assailant(s) pursues the hunted with a various array of knives usually in a mock Steven Seagal style. The game proceeds until the injury or damage done is regarded by both sides to have "gone too far".

Such a party is usually initiated with a group of participants by shouting "Knife Party" at any seemingly innocuous period of time.

Usually occurs where knives are prevalent (esp. kitchens).

Brendan: "What time are you leaving for college at?"

James: "Knife Party!"

Brendan: "No seriously, stop!"

James: (BRANDISHES MEAT CLEAVER WITH A SKILLFUL FLOURISH) "Ready when you are Brendan. Ready when you are."
