A Singaporean slang which is usually said when someone else is speaking in a non-English language and you want that person to speak English at that time. It got its namesake from the nation's most popular English TV Channel of the similar name.
Person 1: *speaks something in Mandarin/Malay/Tamil/any other language other than English*
Person 2: "Eh hello, Channel 5 can or not?"
why have one guy who treats you like shit and cheats on you when you can have 5 that do the same thing but better.
ex.) why have 1 when you can have 5 hoes
When someone presents evidence contradicting what you just denied.
Prosecutor: "do you think Pelosi is a traitor?"
MTG: "I'm not answering the question. ...I never said that."
Prosecutor: "bring up exhibit 5"
MGT: "OH! 😳 Wait, hang on..."
You could be left waiting anywhere from 1 minute - forever. People are so lenient with the usage of "gimmie 5" it hurts.
