the 2020 effect

The 2020 effect is when a certain moment in time
(in this case, a whole month) can and will go completely wrong, everything bad that can happen happens on the worst degree.

Unfortunately the 2020 effect happens at complete random, that said
there is no way of telling when it will occur.

New years: "I can't believe 2020 is finally here! i feel like this year will
be a year to remember!"
August 2020: "I just want this year to be over, we had to witness the Hong Kong protests, World War III rumors, Rona, the crash of the Stock Market, the death of Kobe Bryant, the rise of the Murder Hornet, the death of George Floyd, and so much more
"lol ever heard of the 2020 effect? wait til next month"

the beabadoobee effect

When South East Asian alt women are fetishised by ignorant men who think they have some form of resemblance to the British singer-songwriter beabadoobee (whose ethnicity is Filipino). The note of resemblance is often untrue, and is usually credited to the fact that they are simply South East Asian.

"He looked at me funny." "You're Filipino, it's just the beabadoobee effect."

The Doughnut Effect

The effect of seeing something you think you want, getting that thing, and then as you begin using that thing, you realise you hate it. This is best shown with doughnuts, as they sound delicious, but as you start eating them you realize you hate them.

Guy x: God, I forgot I hate doughnuts, but I bought a dozen and only ate 1
Guy z: Its the doughnut effect!

โ€œI donโ€™t like you eitherโ€
โ€œIf you talk to me again Iโ€™ll come to your house and take your dogโ€
*gasp* โ€œplease not my dog! Fine just donโ€™t pleaseโ€

โ€œWow this is a way of describing the Jayden effectโ€
