Could care less

A sarcastic, ironic, irreverent take on the original phrase "couldn't care less." Just like with "couldn't care less," this phrase simply means that one does not care. In this case, it is intended as an ironic insult, since it prompts the other person to reason out that the only reason it would make sense to say "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less" is if they cared some and yet still extremely little. It's an insult delivered as a sarcastic compliment.

It's like if the TV is on really loud, and someone says, "can you turn it up?" That's a sarcastic comment on how loud it is. Just like "I could care less" is a sarcastic comment on how little you care.

Over time, it became so commonplace that people forgot it was sarcastic and just say it straight to mean "I don't care."

Debbie and I broke up for the seventh time, can you believe that?

I believe I could care less...

could he, should he, woody

Kissing-cousin to the much-overused "missed opportunity" ditty, and refers to where a hot stud palpitatingly wonders if it would be both possible and advisable to ask for intimacy from a particular girl whom he greatly admires/desires, and then gets a major hard-on as a result of said thought process.

Some people think I'm nuts to wear ultra-baggy clothing whenever I go out looking for some nice sweet a**, but I feel like it's worth it and then some, knowing that I won't get the acute embarrassment of being too "obvious" in public if I get an involuntary "could he, should he, woody" reaction at any times during said endeavor. And besides, da ladies don't seem to mind or even particularly notice --- none of them have ever commented about an overly-visible "glad to see you", nor has any gal even asked me why I was wearing such an oversize outfit.

yeah, I could splay that

A statement of affirmation or agreement about a proposed activity. Used in place of "I could get behind that", or "sure". The 'yeah' can be omitted if in a hurry.

While originally used exclusively about objects that are 'splayable', modern uses of the phrase do not require this property.

A similar phrase is "yeah, I *can* splay that", used to indicate belief or proficiency instead, i.e. "I'd buy it" or "I can do that".

It's also theoretically possible to use "no, I couldn't/can't/won't splay that" to indicate distaste or refusal, but this is rarely heard.

person A: ayo we're going Wendys in 10, you down?
person B: *deliberates* yeah, i could splay that
