A talented Italian singer, born March 20, 1986. Her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, but she goes by Lady Gaga or just plain Gaga. Her break-out hit was Just Dance, which was shortly followed by Poker Face. She is well known for unique outfits and a powerful singing voice. One of the most well-known rumors about her is that she is a hermaphrodite, meaning she has both a penis and a vagina. She was falsely quoted in 2008 as saying:
"It’s not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It’s just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. The reason I haven’t talked about it is that it’s not a big deal to me. Like come on. It’s not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I’m sexy, I’m hot. I have both a poon and a peener. Big f*cking deal."
The above quote was taken from Starrtrash, a Blog hosted at Blogspot. However, before Starrtrash was shut down, it was just a joke site, including articles such as, "Angelina Jolie Steals Asian Child" and "Gwen Stefani Leaves Mandarin a Chinese Restaurant 100 Pounds Fatter". Lady Gaga's manager and Lady Gaga herself have dispelled the rumors, saying they are 'ridiculous' and completely false.

The most inspiring, wonderful, kind hearted woman in the world. She has saved so many lives and has always been there for anyone. She has the most powerful voice, and so much meaning behind her songs. The Monsterball is a tour like no other and will never compare to any other concert. This woman is INCREDIBLE. So many people try and hate on her, but it only feeds her cause. The people who are for equality and are not judgemental will stay by her side. Lady Gaga is more than just music, and no matter what people say, she is wonderful. Little Monsters will love her forever. XOXO.

Okay, maybe she isn't the second coming of $legend; however, she seems to be doing a darn fine job so far of building her own. I really have not seen/experienced anything quite like this, however much great(er) music I've listened to. I'm not the stereotypical Gaga fan type.
Even if the music was to be taken simply as pop, it seems especially well-constructed as such. Perhaps this an example of what 'pop music' could be, but unfortunately ha$n't been. However, while definitely a pop star, it should seem clear that she is far more than just another pop star. There's more than meets the eye. In some ways, she seems like a rock star who just makes pop music.
Talented? Yes, clearly. Live-performance videos testify to this, especially her acoustic songs and the acoustic arrangements of the pop hits.
Her style is far-out, but it's _hers_. Some don't get it. Some do.
The show/spectacle is brilliant, the songs _hers_, the personage intriguing
She's beautiful, including but certainly not limited to the obvious sense of that word.

At the 2009 VMAs (9/13), she performed her hit Paparazzi to a brilliant stage production.
On 10/12, she gave a quite effective cover of one of the classics (Imagine) at a benefit event.
At the December 2009 Royal Variety Performance, it was indicated that the new pop queen is even getting the attention of real queens. :P
On 2010.01.31, she opened the Grammy awards telecast via a duet with none other than Sir Elton John.
And it only seems to be getting bigger & better.
