The creators of many top RPGs(Role Playing Games) for the Playstation 2 Game console. In mid 2004 Squaresoft merged with Enix to become Square-Enix. Square-Enix produces the ever popular 'Final Fantasy' series.

Center Square

An adjective, the phrase refers to long-time comedian and actor Paul Lynde who occupied the center square in the long-running television show Hollywood Squares. The phrase is used to describe a person or thing that is flamboyantly gay.

Sometimes a perjorative as in a put-down of a person or thing.

Hipster slang heard in Hyde Park, Chicago; UW- Madison, Wisconsin and Washington, DC political circles.
