1. Someone suffering from a belief that there favorite character is a super cool badass based of them just liking the character. The character in question can have no feats near what a person suffering from DFS says he can do.
Ex: A person suffering from DFS would think Krillin is the strongest fighter in DBZ and would be strong enough to fight Perfect Cell and win with no help.
2. Someone suffering from a belief of their favorite characters needing extra care/exposure when they serve no real purpose to the overall story arc of the series they are in. They make up random scenarios to put their characters in, but unlike fan fiction writers it is their own headcanon that they try to spread to everyone.
"Stephanie Brown would mop the floor with Batman in his prime"
"Robert, you are suffering from Delusionary Fanboy Syndrome"
Pretty much the biggest annoyance in modern day video gaming.
First off, these people like to start shit with people that even mention other gaming series that rival the Call of Duty series, mainly Halo, Battlefield, and Metal of Honor, and these battles set off fanboys of the other series, causing these "wars" between the two series.
Second off, they don't know how to enjoy the game right without arguing. About everything. But the two that are probably argued about most is when they get killed, or blaming lag.
If they get killed, these fanboys scream random curse words and insults, just because they died. In a videogame. Take games waaaaay to seriously and act snobby.
And when the game lags, which, honestly, happens a lot to Call of Duty, they blame it for something that had happened during or previously to it. If they were killed during it, then they will get mad or/and ragequit.
Then, there are many different kinds of these fanboys, not all that I will name, but mainly the popular ones.
Kids- Many kids like playing Call of Duty because thats the "family game" nowadays. And by kid, I mean twelve and under. Trust me, you will get a lot of these. Not all of them are fanboys, just really annoying.
Assholes-13 and up. Have some of the most over used insults and comebacks ever, are just generally dicks.
Try-Hards- These people take the game the most seriously out of every one, and complain the most.
*commenting on a battlefield 3 video*
Me-"Man, this looks really good. I can't wait to play it*
Fanboy Reply-"BATTLEFELD SUX DICK MW3 FTW U FAG"
Me-"Uh, what the fuck? If you don't like BF, then you don't have to comment on it"
Fanboy- "B1TCH I DONT CARE ABOUT UR RESONING, BATTLEFIELD 3 IS TERRIBL JUST LIEK UR MOMS PUSSY"
Me-"Have you played Battlefield 3? OR Modern Warfare 3? Nope, because neither are out yet. All your saying is biased opinions, mother fucker. You Call of Duty Fanboys piss me off"

Fanboys is a 2009 comedy film directed by Kyle Newman and starring Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel and Kristen Bell. It was released in the United States on February 6, 2009, and in Canada on April 3, 2009.
The story is about on October 31, 1998, Eric Bottler (Sam Huntington) reunites with his old high school buddies Linus (Chris Marquette), Hutch (Dan Fogler), Windows (Jay Baruchel) and Zoe (Kristen Bell) at a Halloween party.
There is tension between Bottler and his old friends, due to Bottler being the only one that matured since high school. Bottler, now a successful car salesman, finds that his friends have not changed a bit since high school; the number one thing they still have in common is their love of Star Wars (and at one point the group become quietly enraptured while watching Stargate SG-1 on television).
The gang expresses their anticipation for the latest installment to the franchise, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Linus proposes an idea that Bottler and he had been plotting since they were children: to infiltrate Skywalker Ranch and steal a rough cut of the film.

Star Wars Nerd: DUUUDE. I WANNA REPEAT WHAT THE FANBOYS DID!
Calm Star Wars nerd: Dude, Fanboys(2009 film)was based on 1998, the episode is already out...
Star Wars Nerd: DAMMIT. I had to be eleven back then. Ugh.
A title apparantly given to fans of the "Final Fantasy" series who favor the 7th installment above the rest. Has risen about after the frustration caused by the 'overhype' of Final Fantasy 7, a game which partly defined our gamers and gaming (industry) today.
This term was one individual's label for the enormous mass of fans who sometimes ignorantly and obnoxiously plague the internet with thier annoyance while arising arguments from frustarted gamers with opposing views. The difference between a Final Fantasy 7 fan and a Final Fanboy 7 is, in most cases, one-sided ignorance.
Because it was my introduction to the series, and probably because it was the darkest of all the "Final Fantasies" I am a loyal fan to the game(FF7). However, because I am not pron to spam forums with ignorant and one-sided messages such as: Cloud/Sephiroth/Tifa is the Coolest/Hottest FF character EVER!!! I am not a Final Fanboy 7.
