When you eat the shoe you have done something cool, something unexpected, or you were just being a stand up guy. If someone is starting to vibe with you or they did something they didn’t want to with a good attitude, they ate the shoe.

"Shoe shot" - to consume a shot of your favorite alcoholic beverage by drinking it out of a shoe (usually a woman's).
