A sport which got its name from the old school figures. NOT from the lame ass spins in the air called jumps and DEFINATELY NOT from the spins. What they call "figure skating" now is most definately NOT and will NEVER replace the true figure skating.
Jumps + Spins = Freestyle Skating
Edges + Music = Dance
Edges + Thinking + Concentration = Figure Skating

a kid (usually a guy) who used to have totally skater hair (all long and amazing looking) who then cuts it off and says they will never grow it back.

Probably the best land sport ever!!! Considered a great chick magnet. But be warned if the dude can't ride the bowl or is wearing a shit ton of protection, then he's a fake...
Shred is a word used to say, "let's hit the skate park"! Shred as in the copings of the bowl! Skate boarding shreds the copings
