A very overrated band. They aren't awful, I just don't like their music. But people are constantly saying, "MCR is the greatest band ever! Screw The Beatles!" People have said it's better than Bohemian Rhapsody (which is quite possibly the greatest rock song ever, along with Stairway to Heaven and others). MCR is certainly not the worst, but not even CLOSE to the best. VERY overrated.
MCR Fan: Did you hear? My Chemical Romance released a new album!
Non-fan: Nah, they're overrated. Led Zeppelin is where it's at!
MCR fan: Led Zeppelin? Is that, a spice or something?

My Chemical Romance is the BEST BAND EVER!!!!! someone said that their lyrics are gay and they cant play their instruments, but that is so not true, they have these amazing guiatr solos and their songs are all so different and interesting. the black parade (their new album) is really really good, their are some slower songs in it too. MCR are NOT emo, just beacuse they sing about death and they wear black, i think death is interesting and i like black, and i am DEFINATLEY not emo. so there you go.

A band that is over quoted by emo kids, which leads other people to hate them without hearing the music. However, I've heard the music and can honestly say in my opinion it wasn't very entertaining.

Singer - Gerard Way.
Hot as sex, dark hair, punk goth, talented, messed up, pretty looking, screaming howl that sends shivers down your spine.
Guitar - Ray Toro.
Afro that rocks my world, maiden stlye solos, very humble, just cracks you up, NICK NAME - Toro saurus.
Guitar 2 - Frank Iero.
Very short but cute, leader of SKELETON CREW, lovely eyes, throws himself around on stage, very cool style.
Bass - Mikey Way.
Gerard's younger bro, dorky glasses, cool hair, dudish, shy, the most 'cool' member. Good at kickball.
Drums - Bob Bryar.
King of the drum sticks, very angry at cameras, funny, un-stereotyped, just plain radical, dude.

A KICKASS Rock/Emo/Punk-Pop/Alternative/Hardcore/ Touch-of-Metal (Jesus, there are WAY too many genres nowadays!) band from New Jersey. I LOVE them, and no music has ever touched me like theirs does. I can't say that I can relate to the lyrics, but I find so much truth in them and they aren't fluffy at all. One of the better bands that you will hear nowadays. And I'm not a teenie fan, but I must say that Frank Iero is highly sexy xD. I cannot call myself a die-hard fan of them ( The person with posters of them all over their room and stalk them on the internet everyday is : ), but I can say that I have a great amount of respect for them, and I thank them a lot for bringing good music into today's world. I rest my case here.
I'm 12 and I adore MCR. Do not call me a poser-fan. I UNDERSTAND what My Chemical Romance is all about, not just think that Gerard is sexy. Although he is......before blonde....

My Chemical Romance is a American Band from Newark, NJ. Due to all the rumors and judgement against MCR they are a great band with all different subjects in their songs. They deny any label and have not claimed to be goth, punk, emo or anything. Gerard Way struck out against fans and bands that classify My Chemical Romance as "Emo", saying that; “I think emo is fucking garbage, it's bullshit. I think there's bands that unfortunately we get lumped in with that are considered emo and by default that starts to make us emo.” and, "I think emo's a pile of shit." < gerards comment found from wikipedia. they are just a band. They have been critisized by Marilyn Manson and critics but this doesn't bring the band down and they have great shows
