A sucky emo band that has sold out to MTV. Let me get one thing clear for the many My Chemical Romance fans out there that think they are punk, they are not punk! Examples of punk would be The Ramones or The Casualities or The Clash. Here's a way to tell that MCR are not punk, read their lyrics and comepare them to a true punk band, like the Sex Pistols. All of MCR's lyrics are about lost girlfriends, angst, and slitting their wrists and that is not what punk is. Just because MTV says a band is punk, that doesn't mean they are. A prime example would be Greenday or Good Charlotte.

I thought since everyone that has so far put a definition for this seems to love them, I figured I'd do some justice to music and give my opinion. MCR are big fat emos and don't deserve to exist. Their music is possibly the worst I have ever heard. I hope they accidentally cut themselves too much and bleed out. No one can say they don't wanna be emo cuz they're all transexuals on purpose. I'm not being prejudiced or anything they just really suck.

Mikey Way - Gerard Gay's brother. Has stupid emo glasses and has a lot of fun with his brother. A LOT of fun.
Frank Iero - Someone who couldn't play the bass to save his life, because he sucks, and he has a stupid emo haircut.
Ray Toro - Looks like a fucking monkey!
Bob Bryar - Waste of skin, couldn't play the drums to save his life.

Pop group from the east coast famous for their effiminate style. Their brooding "my life sucks so I will turn to the darkside" style appeals to young depressed teen girls and their counterpart the "hot topic punk". Despite the lackluster music, they have found their niche in commercial radio through aggresive marketing. The hints at homosexuality ("You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison")draw in young emo boys (who are known to take pictures kissing other guys)and give them something to relate to.

A band that once was cool when noone new of them... Now that all the 12 year old girls and midlife chrisis parents know of them one might feel the need not to listen.
