Extremely controversial Californian punk rock band. Used satirical and humourous lyrics to express their political views. The Kennedys split in 1986 and the band ensued in a legal tussle with vocalist Jello Biafra over song royalties. An incarnation of the Kennedys still tours today, but without Jello Biafra.
The Dead Kennedys are a real punk band, unlike the Casualties.

Hippies who encouraged drug use that, although they did not encourage hippie movement, obviously moved it down the right path.
Their name originates with a mid-southern European belief in the grateful dead-- Men whose spirits were ill-at-ease until someone buried them properly. The spirits often rewarded their helper with wishes, money, and worldly goods.
