Founded: March 9, 1856; University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa
Mission Statement: The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service for our members based upon the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed.
Membership: The Fraternity resides on college and university campuses, as a guest of the host institution. The current structure includes more than 8,200 undergraduates at more than 225 chapters in 47 states and Canada. Alumni are active in more than 75 alumni associations.
Governance Structure: The organization is governed through a five-person executive board (Supreme Council) that is elected at biennial conventions. An executive director (Eminent Supreme Recorder) supervises a staff of approximately 28 at the Fraternity Service Center in Evanston, Illinois, and eight regional directors. The United States and Canada are divided into 29 regions (provinces) overseen by regional volunteers called province archons. Each chapter is required to have an active chapter adviser.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation: The SAE Foundation was established in 1927 to create programs that promote the highest ideals of academic and personal development. The existing programs include named scholarships, a student-loan program and the international Leadership School that has produced more than 38,000 graduates. The SAE Foundation awards $69,000 in scholarships annually in support of its mission.

Currently, the Fraternity offers a comprehensive member-education program called The True Gentleman Initiative. The Fraternity communicates through The Record magazine, a quarterly publication that has been published continuously since 1880. New members receive a copy of The Phoenix pledge manual for educational development.

The largest national Fraternity with over 280,000 initiated members. Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) was founded at the university of Alabama in Tuscaloosa Alabama in 1856. Since then it has grown into one of the best known and active fraternities on many college campuses throughout America and Canada

The most honored and respected Multicultural Fraternity in the world. Est. April 4, 1986. These men rep that Royal Purple and Pure White. These men are hated on by other latin greeks (ie. 1's that wear brown and white) because they were not the 1st est. but are the largest and most respected. Not 2 mention they have down ass cuzzos aka the Phi Beta Sigmas and the lovely Zeta Phi Betas. 1-9-8-6 You aint BETA you ain't SHIT!!

Sigma Lambda Gamma is a sisterhood of women who have chosen this affiliation as a manner to achieve personal development and awareness to the responsibility of community involvement for the betterment of local, regional, national and global communities through the efforts of a network of more than 5,000 sisters. Furthermore, Sigma Lambda Gamma continues to be a pioneer in the Greek fraternal world through development of innovative programming initiatives, such as the Young Womenโs Leadership Program and Emotional Intelligence.
Today, Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership and fastest growing fraternal organization in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States โ from Arizona to Wyoming; Florida to Minnesota; New York to Texas; and many more states between the coasts of California and Rhode Island. A criterion for membership into Sigma Lambda Gamma is that a woman must have exceptional morals & ethics with a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, and who is pursuing or have completed courses leading to a degree in an accredited college of university.
