With newer technology, the auto industry didnt improve and make wolves and grizzlies to go with the cougars, and theres no lions, tigers, cheetahs, or leopards to go with Jaguars, instead they got names like vibe, flex, and solstice now. The auto industries in other countries are laughing at these names.
Technology changes are not always improvements.
Technology and change doesnt make everything better. Theres a preoccupation with safety in everyday life that wasnt there before the 2000s, and it hasn't stopped people from dying. People aren't designed to socialize primarily online or from home instead of in person. Technology doesnt replace nature, and theres danger that comes with nature, there always has been.
Nature is duality, it's not just female and it's not just male. Technology doesnt change nature.
Technology is something you play and work on and also machinery and equipment are developed from the application of scientific knowledge, Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the change and manipulation of the human environment,
Technology is the way we apply scientific knowledge for practical purposes. It includes machines (like computers) but also techniques and processes (like the way we produce computer chips). It might seem like all technology is only electronic, but that's just most modern technology,
Machines that move are mechanical technology. Medical technology is another type, and includes ventilators, medication, and MRIs. Communication technology is the third type, and includes all types of tools used to communicate, from telegrams to telephones.
My Dad is using technology to do his work and video call people on there.
When an IT worker, usually in a leadership role, deliberately messes up something that works well to make their job seem irreplaceable (i.e., the hero). Symptoms include front line staff and vendors running around frantically in a "sky is falling" scenario only to discover after great detective work and duress one pulled wire or misconfigured group policy, which was not that way yesterday.
"Check the cable?"
"The desk hasn't moved from this spot in ten years."
"Check it anyway."
"Well I'll be .... printer's working fine now! Fourth time this week. Peter was just here yesterday.... you thinking what i'm thinking?
"Munchausen Syndrome by Technology."
"bingo."
