Tell us about it, Janet!

Originally from Rocky Horror Picture Show, the phrase is now used when someone is about to tell you a story you don't want to hear, in the hopes that they will be confused/distracted enough for you to change the subject or flee the scene.

Exercise caution when the mark is actually named Janet.

Talia: That reminds me of when I had a four hour conversation with Ben Stein about economic theory...
Bruce: Tell us about it, Janet!
Talia: Wh-
Bruce: *flees*

shame the devil and tell the truth

A common phrase by cajun company men on drilling rigs that basically means "I don't like what I'm hearing, so tell me again in a different way".

Come on now bit peddler, shame the devil and tell the truth, I know that nothing can drill better than a hughes drill bit.

I can tell you are doing it

I don't know what you are doing, but I can tell you are doing it wrong.

This is a humorous way to point out bad problem solving methods.

I don't know what you are doing, but I can tell you are doing it wrong!

he's catching on, I'm telling ya

In reference to Ron Paul's first tv ad for the Republican New Hampshire Primaries.

When this comment is spoken/written, it is meant to be funny.

(As seen in online message boards) Did you see that Ron Paul has 60,000 members in meetup groups? He's catching on, I'm telling ya.

Tell me about the rabbits, George

A popular quote from John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men (said by Lennie to George), sometimes used when dreaming of something (often along with someone else) that you know will never happen. Usually used in a sad, almost-reminiscent way.

Friend: It'll be okay... You'll get better soon...
Terminally Ill Patient: Tell me about the rabbits, George...
Friend: ... Once you get better, you'll go back to school with all of us again...and you'll pass with the highest grades like always...and then we'll be roommates for college...and everything will all be okay...

I'll tell mine you're gay

The best lyrics ever (also not homophobic at all, regardless of what straight people think)

That’s fine I'll tell mine you're gay - Taylor Swift

National Tell Your Crush Day

A made up holiday, no one can seem to agree on the actual day. Look up any day of the year, and chances are a dumb nigga thinks it's national tell your crush day. Just tell them already, life is short.

No one knows when "national tell your crush day" really is, just tell them already!
