Hot Topic

A store. Simple as that. Not everyone who shops there is a poser or emo wannabe. People go there because they like its clothes.

Mark was jumped for shopping at Hot Topic the other day.

Hot topic is a store, found in many malls, that sells things from Lordi shirts to Foster's home for imaginary friends shirts, black studded bracelets to pink jelly bracelets. They sell a lot of type of jeans in styles and colors hard to find other places. people say that its over priced, but most of the shirts are like $10-$15. shirts at other places are like $20-$40. Also, where else can you find skinny jeans for like 30 bucks? I shop there occasionally to get a band shirt or a shirt with a funny saying like "Don't Piss Off The Voices". I've seen some 5th grade girls looking like prostitutes in there, and ive seen a 6 ft 4" guy with long hair skinny jeans and eye liner, who definitly wasn't a "poser". I think people should shop where they like, not where every one at school likes.

Me: Wanna go to Hot Topic to get some sweet band shirts?
My friend: Yeah sure what bands do they have
Me: Postal service to marilyn manson

1) a place where you cant buy clothing that is lighter than black.

2) a store that is very dark inside...you must navigate yourself in there with a light...but it usually repulses people inside that work there

1) hot topic employee: hi how can i help you?
customer: umm yea where's your white shirts?
hot topic employee: get out! get the fuck out!

2) girl: my oh my it sure is dark in here...
guy: yah gimme a flashlight.
hot topic employee: turn off that damn light!

mkayy, well i don't know why the fuck everyone says it's for posers, because if you like what you wear, your not a fucking poser. it's just a store people. okay, maybe it has colorful skinny jeans and studded belts and a shitload of band t's. but A.E. or Hollister or Abercrombie is filled with destroted jeans, thin shirts, leather belts, and hundred-dollar perfumes. get over yourselves.

you shop at Hollister when you want destroyed jeans.
i shop at Hot Topic when i want skinny jeans.
done.

Hot Topic is a MUSIC store that some people confuse for a 'poser palace.' Newsflash, its not. If you like it, great. Yes, Hot Topic is based on music. Some people think that people go there to be different, other than shopping at 'preppy' stores, like Hollister, A&F, AE, etc... And some people DO want to be different. But the only thing that is crazy is people think 'low, life-less emos' go there to get a whole lot of dark, creepy, black clothes to look scary and dark and creepy, and blahblahblah...PEOPLE! IT'S STORE! a MUSIC store that just happens to sell other stuff than music. It's not a place where posers hang out. It's not a place where people go to live out their 'lifeless-ness.' And its most definitely not a scary store. If you like the store, great. If you hate the store, I'm sorry, just find a different store. Don't hate, its not fun.

emo: ima go to Hot Topic to go get some more radtastic clothes.
prep: ew, they wear black? That is so fetch!
poser: wow..now EVERYBODY is going to get that stuff! I might as well go get it too!
emo: wtf? i might as well be preppy..
