Sunday nights, right before the work week begins, when almost everyone you know gets on Facebook giving an artificial boost to the amount of friends normally seen online
dude it's Sunday night i gotta check Facebook to make sure i didn't miss anything from the weekend. oh look everyone else i know is on guess it's the Sunday Night Effect

The Leonardo DiCaprio effect is the process of when a woman ages past the prime age of 25. They are no longer worthy and must be dropped for a new younger woman between the ages of 18-24.
Friend: Hey bro how’s everything with your girl.

Friend: oh shit she’s already 25 you better drop that hoe for a new one.

College Girl Effect- is when a younger girl surrounds herself with older girls to make herself seem older.
I was really surprised how old that girl was. She defiantly wasn't in college. She was totally using the college girl effect.

Noun. Used to describe an elusive or imaginary audio effect which would transform a lackluster recording into a stellar one. The Three-Nine Effect is often confused with audio effects such as reverb, delay and compression. Companies such as Waves, which makes audio recording software, is believed by most studio clients to have a patent on the Three-Nine Effect, and as such recordings cannot be made without it. This, of course, is false, as the Three-Nine Effect is only a myth.
Occasionally misspelled or mispronounced as "Tree Nine Effec".

When something long-awaited that's usually in development hell, like a movie, video game, or album, falls short of its built-up hype when it's finally released. Named for the Guns N' Roses album of the same name, which after 15 years was finally released, to mediocre reviews.
I hope Duke Nukem Forever doesn't become a victim to the Chinese Democracy effect.
