Got 1 word that can describe a prep: backstabber...thats how they make their freinds, thats how they get ahead in life...they take advantage of the nicer people in school or college and ask for help...after they get what they want, they usually make fun of them and/or do some prank to them...after this, they usually ask for help again, and, if the person is nice enough, they will get that help and it all starts over again...preps only hang with preps too becuz they are too "cool" to hang with other "normal" people...
"like omg...why is he sitting over here? i like totally rejected him 10 mins ago when he helped me get that A in math...like...eww..." *next day* "hey there =) can u help me with my math i cant just understand it at all =)" *uncommon reaction that should be used more often* "fuck off bitch"

Someone you wish you could be. Admit, you would love to be a handsome, athletic, smart, ethnically accepted, POPULAR, socially skilled and rich like those who you punk rock goth nerd losers are so damned jealous of. Just because someone is better than you is no excuse for your sorry asses to try to make their life advantages seem like a bad thing. Just because we wear decent clothes while everyone else typically either has no fashion or looks like whores or a badly put-together mannequin does not mean us preps are bad people.

People talk so much shit about preps saying there stuck up and only wear certain brands, But look at the goths and "thug" groups they wear the same thing and hang out with the same type of people. I think that preps ge so much shit is because everyone is jealous that they are good looking and they dresss nice and not all preps are rich. Yeah I'll give you some are stuck up but not all. Preps are just a grouo like any other group but people just want to be apart of their life-style so much they hate on them for no reason. Cuz face it if you had the chance to be a prep you would.
I wish I was a prep and be beatiful and popluar.

whoever thinks preps are "bitches" are the people who dont know them. they are actual REAL people and just because everyone judges them stereotypically doesnt mean thats what they are. People who hate preps are just jealous because they are the popular ones in school. Yeah, we wear abercrombie and fitch but mabe we LIKE the clothes. we wouldnt be bitches if people didnt hate us for no reason

A spoiled bitch, sometimes a whore, that gets everything she wants with or without a balling fest. Usually preps hang around the "kewl" guys that usually turn out to be couch potatoes, worthless, or chain stoners. They have nothing to live for and no reason to believe they have anything to live for but for sum reason the bastards are still alive despite all this. Someone save us.

A prep doesn't neccesarily come from "old money". Yes, it is true that we have money, but as was mentioned in another definition, we know how and where to spend it. Preps most often spend their lives trying to "get ahead of the pack," and most of the time, whatever we do is for the purpose of outdoing ourselves, and more importantly, outdoing other. Preps spend our lives trying to be the best we can be. (Yes, our entire lives, true preps are part of the preppy lifestyle and culture, and its not just something that is over when you are no longer a teenager)
We don't neccesarily shop exclusively at Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks, etc. We also may shop at American Eagle, Hollister, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, or Abercrombie. Or we may mix it up and shop at any combination of the above. One thing, however, is certain: A true prep would not be caught DEAD in clothes that came from Wal Mart or any other similar store.
A prep is extremely invlolved in, and almost obsessed with education. We view education as the basis of our lives. Although we may not attend a true "prep school" in our early years, we almost certainly go on to an Ivy League University, or another university at the same level. Most of us speak at least one other language, most often French and/or German, and we normally study overseas for at least a semester, if not for longer, in order to continue developing the culture with which we were brought up.
Contrary to popular opinion, we do not hate other "groups", such as punks, goths, nerds, losers, etc. They simply do not take the time to associate with us and get to know us, and we don't waste our precious free time, of which we have little due to our academic, extracurricular, and social calendars, trying to make someone befriend us whom we know would only put on a front toward us. I do, for example, have a small number of friends from other groups with whom I associate, simply because instead of talking *about* me behind my back, they talked *to* me and found out that preps really aren't bad people.
In short, preps are those students in your school who use proper grammar, correct peoples grammar without fear of being picked on, speak two or even three languages for fun, not just because of a graduation requirement, apply themselves to school wholeheartedly, yet still fit in a full extracurricular and social schedule, and have to look their best everyday. The people who you swear never sleep! (and lots of times we don't)
