Smart Truth

There is truth and smart truth. In a media-saturated world where each word is parsed by many looking for scandal, it is more important than ever to tell the smart truth. Lawyers, especially criminal law lawyers, understand the difference.

“Coca-cola proudly announced some years ago that it was introducing vending machines that would raise the price of their sodas when the weather got hot. The announcement was widely panned in the media—just when a consumer needed a break most, the company would be raising its price. The smarter play and the smart truth would have been an announcement that the company was introducing vending machines that lowered the price of their drinks when the weather got cold. It is the same thing yet it isn’t—the smart truth would have had radically different (and much more positive) PR repercussions. The end result—the vending machines never left Coke labs…”

the truth of the matter

A sentence filler to replace an unwanted pause to give one an extra moment to gather an answer to a question. It is used before stating a fact like ''in my opinion'' is used before stating an opinion.

Q: How did he win without the popular vote?

A: Well, the truth of the matter is... the winner is determined by which canidate has the most electoral votes.

post-truth

Post truth is where public opinion is shaped more-so by opinion and emotion rather than objective facts. This seems to be a new term, in relation to the whole Trump thing. People act as if public opinion has never been shaped by opinion until now. Welcome to the hell we have all been living until you leftists had your fantasy land bubble popped!

Can we start advocating for inherent rights instead of using government as a weapon against our enemies? Can we think outside of just one issue, and realize if we want freedom in one area we must also support the freedoms of others because why the fuck would someone support your freedom if you don't support theirs? The answer? VOLUNTARYISM.

"These people against Trump act as if this is the first time government might become corrupt. Reality can be a bitch. Now research:Voluntarism, Mark Passio Natural Law seminar, Larken rose. Read and research all of that shit, and you'll see the post-truth has been around a long time, this is the Apocalypse FACTUALLY."
