I believe that god is just a reason for people to blame all their downfalls and wrongdoings, they just want a reason to remove their responsibility, they want to have something to hope for and something to take their time. People want someone to ask to fix their problems, for many people that is God, but... I understand that you want to hope and confess, but that's what friends are for, a good friend will help you in a time of need and comfort you when your sad, a good friend will keep your secrets and wont laugh. And if your a good friend you will trust them and give them the same they give you, no, better... you owe it to them.
I know this isn't really a definition, it's a belief, about God, but I just thought I might put it up...

a made up "being" that people use as an excuse to try to forget about all the disappointing things in the world. People believe in a god because they have to hope for something better out there because they can't bear the fact that this is as good as it's going to get.
atheist: dude but you're dying!
believer: its okay, god will heal me.
*next day*
atheist: poor sucker, that non existing god surely healed him.
