yo yo effect (n) - the action of a girl or boy from a past realationship toying with your emotions. Sending signals that they want you back and suddenly being very cold to you off and on. Sort of keeping you as a back up if their current realationship or intrest fails

The idea that individuals who are FEMALE and deemed "pretty" are selected for high level positions or prestigious awards based solely on the fact that they are FEMALE and "pretty". Why else was she picked as John McCain's running-mate?

A very complex psychological phenomenon where, if you are forbidden from being with someone (i.e. Married, friendzone, not interested, etc.) they become infinitely more attractive.
Guy 1: Holy crap that chick is so hot!!

n. When you eat a food that feels great when you're eating it but five minutes later it makes you very tired and bloated. Derived from the title food, Hot Pockets, which are famous for being disgusting and delicious at the same time but ultimately causing a nap to ensue a few minutes after its consumption. Examples include Hot Pockets, Lucky Charms and McDonalds.
I shouldn't have had so many Lucky Charms, man. I'm feeling the Hot Pocket Effect.
