The tendency of a force to rotate an object about a point. Sometimes referred to as a torque. It is usually a vector quantity whose magnitude is expressed in Newton meters, pound feet, etc.
The moment vector at a point is given by the cross product of the position vector and the force vector. The magnitude of a moment about a specific axis is given by the cross product of the position vector and the force vector, dotted with the unit vector along the specified axis.
The moment vector is always perpendicular to both the position vector and the force vector, as it is a cross product.
A force on a wrench imparts a moment on the bolt.
You know... There was this one time... Where... She was returning from checking the mail... And... When she got to the patio she parroted one of the things he used to say and she kind of playfully hopped up onto the step and turned back and looked at him... Waiting for him to follow... And it was just so beautiful... The image has faded a bit but... I don't think I'll ever forget that moment... But... Just in case I do... I'll just leave it here...
Iam "Did I do this one already? I can't recall.... Either way... It was a beautiful moment and I'll never forget the way she made me feel... I don't even have a word to describe it... I guess, that's why I'm using several..."
Five minutes, or one quarter of a chime. A short period of time about which a distinct memory may be formed. Used especially in academia.
Take a moment to study the three diagrams in Chapter 1 and note the similarities.
person 1: Can you complete what I asked you to do?
person 2: in a moment I will.
Through the emerging consensus of observation and experimentation, one (1) moment is equal to exactly three (3) whole minutes.
Cassie: Just a moment...
*3 whole minutes pass*
Cassie: Hi! So I've gone ahead and scheduled your appointment - you're all set!
The most fundamental object.
The smallest experience with a discrete beginning and a discrete end.
It is analogous to sense.
A moment is the shortest possible unit of discrete time.
