Well-known and popular form of music. Rappers are people who want to get rich but can't sing, so they just talk fast and say it's 'beats.' A vast majority of rap is about hoes, drugs, drinking, more hoes, but a small variety isn't, which is generally of higher quality. Loved by teenage douchebags who think they're 'cool' by listening.
Teenagers listen to (c)rap a lot. It hardly resembles real music.

The supposed definition of rap is "rhythm and poetry" which is particularly ironic since there is a complete lack of rhythm and poetry in this swill. It is also an insult of unspeakable proportions to classify it as music, which implies is has some resemblance to Mozart, Bach, Wagner, Beethoven and their contemporaries such as Otis Redding, The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, U2, etc, etc. Emo reeks of stale urine and donkey dumplings but nonethess is contains lyrics, sung by people and music produced by instruments played, albeit occassionally be people. Rap is characterized by one or more persons bellowing/yelling words usually completely out of synch with the accompanying sounds. Often rap contains no real lyrics, just profanity laden outbursts that are as a rule unintelligible. The content of this drivel is based around violence toward women, men, the handicapped and the elderly, the consumption of malt liquor, the ingestion of crack and degenerate acts with dead animals and week old donuts. Lets not forget the continual quest for "respect" by people who have none themselves and are the farthest thing from being deserved of any sort of respect. Often words that are not to be found in the dictionary or in the English language such as "gat" and "bling" and prevalant in this fecal matter masquerading as music.
Rappers and their fan base, ie, homies, gangstas, wannabes and the like, are known to have IQ levels substantially below what is considered the norm. The production of rap, and the enjoyment of rap requires absolutely no talent and or appreciation of. It has been stated before, but nonethess the greatest indicator of what rap really is, is that if you place the letter "c" in front of the word "rap" you arrive at "crap" which immediately invokes the image of a warm, fresh steaming turd which is the perfect representation of rap.
A rusty orange 82 Chevy nova, filled with wannabe g's, sputters by blaring rap at a decibel level that dwarfs a 747 o n takeoff.

I am white, I am a metal head. So why am I posting on Rap you ask? Well I DO hate MODERN Rap music, but let me tell you a story. Rap used to stand for something, used to have a message, used to be an art. now it is just Fake a$$ "Rappers" who go on a One/two beat and don't even spit Rymes or sensible subjects like standing up for what's right These days the only one I know advancing Rap is a mister "K.W" most contemporary rap is infact about "bangin' hoes" or "gettin' dat Paper" this isn't what rap should be it has the potential to be alot more then the sum of it's parts. It is important to know that. I may be hated by many but I don't really care, maybe someone will agree with me out there

Vulgar and incoherent ghetto poetry usually set off to pre-programmed 'beats'. Or 99% of the musical content found in the 99% lacking in music air-time MTV network.
If I want to listen to something more pleasing than rap, I can just listen to the sound that comes out of the rear engine of a broken down pick-up truck.

I live in a white neighborhood in new york state. all of the people around me are preppy, punk rock loving retars who dont give a shit about rap. they call it fast words that only talk about guns, sex, cars, bling, drugs, and other material possesions. this is what rap has become. this is what i refer to as "pop rap". this is just rap that sells. the people i was talking about before just heard 50 cent on TRL and thought it was gay. rappers like 50 cent, cassidy, trick daddy,g unit; these are the type of people who are ruining the image of rap. if you really wanna judje rap you gotta listen to the old and the new. people like tupac actually can teach something. listen to the song "changes" by tupac. there is no way you can tell anyone that that is a bad song. also, people like common and kanye west actually rap but it actually is poetry. eminem is also different. he raps about life experiences, and how terrible his childhood was. other gangster rappers may do that, but notice how eminem doesnt mention guns or any crap like that. i.e. his song mocking bird has nothing bad about it. it talks about his love for his daughter. what is wrong with that?
I actually like a few kinds of rock, like jimi hendrix, led zeppelin, the ramones, and the rolling stones. i think that rock today isnt that good. people say that rap promotes wiolence, but you have to listen to some rock today. ive heard rock that promotes suicide. so before you judge, listen.
