Grit

A Baltimore word for an obnoxious person who’s series of life choices has landed them in a deserved situation.

*walks in room to a man passed out half naked and bleeding from the forehead*
“We gotta get this grit out of my god damn house Carol.”

Grit

In Southern states, mostly (presumably) in Alabama: prescription cough syrup.

“Gucci, I got some grit if you want it.”

That’s what they call it in Alabama. Grit. They don’t call it lean. They
call it grit because it’s thick like grits and they drink it straight, like a
shot.

grit

Grit is when you've had 10 knives in you chest and 10 more in your back because someone close betrayed you and you still rise and get up like the walking dead to fight another day. Sorry it has nothing to do with bread and Lady Diana defined the word back in 80s. More particular to Northern Britain.

He's got true Grit. Up at 6am work till 10pm earning money to provide for his 5 kids.

Grit

The unyielding will to keep pushing forward towards a goal despite obstacles, hardships, and a lack of motivation, passion, and energy.

Gavin got sick at football practice - he wasn't feeling good, was tired, his body was aching, it was extremely hot outside, he puked 3 times, and the coach even told him to just go home and rest BUT he stayed and KEPT practicing! That little 8 year old has Grit!
