A phrased coined in the UK, specifically heard in Manchester. The phrase describes an older person. Usually between the age 40's & before you receive or collect your retirement package.

Symptoms include:

Mouth agape(drool sometimes present) as if they have no freaking idea of where they are. -Experts on all things: Politics, driving directions,grilling, etc. -Often forget why they are in the bathroom.
ODH wives usually die before them, out of pure desire.
This leads to the ODH usually being found dead, due to starvation, in filthy clothing.
If you suspect you are near an ODH: Don't make eye contact. Never, ever ask, "How ya doin'?"

A person or group that is accustomed to the life of a poor individual.
Used to differentiate between new poor and old poor.
The primary indicator is the stress level difference between the two, old poor individuals knowingly and easily change to a poor lifestyle with minimal stress understanding the sacrifices that need to be made to pay the bills and are content in the fact that they will likely be out of this state in a month or two.
A “keep your head down and keep moving” attitude associated with low finances.
