no name basis

Sharing time and/or space with someone whom you moderately appreciate or have absolutely no respect for to the point of not remembering or deliberately forgetting their name.

Pouet: So, who you out with last night?
Tuatil: Arh! A bunch of jerk-offs. I wasted a whole evening with a load of idiots.
Pouet: Really? Who?
Tuatil: Can't remember. I'm on a no name basis with'em.

or

Rebacci: How's your new roommate Jelad?
Jelad: Alright I guess. We're on a no name basis which shows how much time I spend at home with her!

BASIS Independent Brooklyn

A school in Red Hook, Brooklyn, full of retarded people who are also fake. They are mostly liberals and brag about their hamptons homes and all their โ€œhypebeastโ€ clothing. They are all very spoiled and entitled and cry if they donโ€™t get what they want. Some of them also so drugs in the bathroom and smoke weed because they think it makes them look cool.

Aaron: Where did you go to school?
Michael: BASIS Independent Brooklyn.
Aaron: Ohhh. That school is full of asshole rich kids, right?
Michael: Yup.

Need-to-ho basis

A method of restricting information with a trick, one-night-stand, hookup, fuckbuddy, jumpoff. Information is generally limited to any of the following: first name, screenname, apartment number, STD status, and penis size.

"You've been going over his place a lot. What's his story?"
"Girl, hell if I know. He could have a wife, three kids, and five grandbabies for all I know. We on a need-to-ho basis."

trial basis friendship

when you accept someone back as your friend for a trial period. That is, they sucked it up as your friend for a while so you are giving them a chance to redeem themselves.

Sally didn't call me once over break but I'm giving her a trial basis friendship to see if she can get her stuff together and be a real friend.

need-to-know basis

Fairly self-explainatory, a tight security method in which information is only given to those who can present a good case for knowing about a project.

The example is classified, and given out on a need-to-know basis only. Obviously, it isn't funny.

first name basis

When you know someone well enough that you call them by their first name.

I had known Mrs. Jones so long I always called her Martha. We are on a first name basis.
