invisible brake

Refers to the non-existent brake on the passenger side of the car. Often used by mothers with new drivers even when they are driving just fine. often used in conjunction with the oh shit handle.

Michelle started pressing on the invisible brake as soon as her son got in the car, of course, this had no effect on his driving.

When a driver applies his or her brakes for no other reason than they see someone else applying their brakes in another lane. The offender has no other reason to slow down other than they saw some red lights in their peripheral vision.

"This dude is making me late for work, he's put on the sympathy brake for every car that has slowed down around him."

Someone who is walking slowly in front of you, forcing you to slow your pace and try to get around them. The D-Brake often incorporates a side to side motion into their walk, making a successful pass difficult.

Short for douche-break.

Sorry I'm twenty minutes late, I got stuck behind d-brake after d-brake in Chinatown and eventually just had to start shoving people aside.
