Hollister is a great store, with really great prices. It mostly caters to teens, but I am 26 years old, and shop there. I never really knew what it had, because I used to have a bad attitude toward it. I would only shop at hot topic. The first time I went into the store, I became hooked. It's not only skinny white people working there. My friend works there, and he is black. It's not really all that preppy. The clothes are fun, and I love the vintage fit shirts, because I am pretty small. I also like that you can get the same shirt in five different colors.

Goths need to step off, and realize that they spend more at hot topic then they would at hollister co. They also should realize hollister clothes are more durable. I have bought shirts at hot topic that have gotten holes in them after a week. I have returned more shirts and lost more money shopping at hot topic, because of their quality. I have never had a bad experiance at hollister. Nothing but quality.

Hollister Co.

Hollister Co. is a clothing brand owned by Abercrombie and Fitch. It is basically marketed to young teens, high schoolers, and college jocks, or other groups of people who have not yet developed any sense of fashion. Much like Abercrombie fills an entire store with polo shirts and jeans that all look exactly alike with the exception of stripe width and color, Hollister follows suit only with a West Coast twist. Shirts may have catchy "Californian" sayings on them, so kids in Iowa can pretend they're surfers. The clothing is not as overpriced as Abercrombie, but the price points still remain high enough so that middle class teenagers, who couldn't spell Couture with a dictionary in front of them, can believe they have style.

Hollister fanatic: "I use my mom's money to buy clothes at Hollister that everyone else at my middle school wears. I'm so stylish."

Alternate Hollister Co. fanatic: "I'm a 20 year old college sophomore that shops at Hollister. I have the same fashion sense as the common middle schooler. I'm so pathetic."

a brand of clothing. thats it. there's nothing more to it.
sometimes associated with "preps" or "popular kids" but really its for everyone who wants to buy it.
the cultural stereotype is pretty silly . Im Pakistani and I am a regular customer. My friend, who is also Pakistani, works there.
You dont have to be a particular body type to buy clothes at hollister. Their sizes range from xxs to xxl. they are regular junior sizes.
the economical stereotype is also silly. The prices range from about $60 to $6.
They do use good looking kids to advertise, but seriously, who doesnt? have you picked up a copy of a magazine lately? how about watching a commercial? Its called sex appeal, guys.

If you care about whether or not I wear hollister co., then you are too materialistic for your own good.

This is a clothing brand that is for kids who do not live in California and desire to. They dig what they think is a social hotspot, and everybody plays up california. Southern California isn't that great of a place, and besides Hollister, California is actually up in dead center NorCal, where it can be rainy and crappy weather alot of the year. This company branch of A&F was just a way to prey on kids who want to be where it's "hip and happening." Its cool if you dig this clothing and actually live on the west coast, otherwise you are a poser. By the way, Most East Coast Hollister Stores Have A Live Camera Feed of Huntington Beach on a Large Plasma Screen. I'd call that a little obsessive.

OMG I am totally craving a vintage ripped jean and socal shortsleve polo-t from hollister co., and maybe a mocha-latte.

A bitch company and can be named a "poser company" because they sell their California, Surf, and other shirts to kids that may not have even been to California or cannot surf. Overpriced, slutty, and a waste of money. It disgraces California and the surfing community. So, Fuck all you people who wear this company's products. You are all posers, fuckers.

1.Man, I'm broke. I just went to Hollister and spent $4000 on a shirt and jeans that are pre-ripped.
2.Hey, you surf? No? Then why the fuck are you wearing a shirt that says "Winning Surf Team '87"?
3.You never been to California you fucking redneck slut.

A typical teenage store with a following from the group commonly referred to as preps. Their stores are characterized by low lighting comparable to that of a bar and a California atmosphere. The workers are often incompetent teenagers who are in it for employee perks. Though not a horribly priced store, it is comparable to American Eagle (it's leading competitor) and Hot Topic (the store for so called non-comfofmists).

The lighting in Hollister Co. was so low that I tripped and broke my leg.
