No other genre can compare to the brutal and hallowed desecration of the senses that metal inflicts upon the masses. Those who do not understand the therapeutic properties of the music interpret it as Satanic Blasphemy, when in reality; they should be thanking metal for giving Metalheads another alternative besides the animalistic annihilation of everyone who has given them reason for murder.
Metal evolved from Classical music, Blues and Rock to birth the likes of: Black Sabbath, Slayer, Pantera, Autopsy, Lamb of God, Morbid Angel, Dissection, etc...

Hands down one of the best genres of music. Negative stereotypes about metal come from metalheads, who always argue, that their music/band is better, than whatever you listen to, if it's not metal.
In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Metallica, AC/DC, and so on...

An adjective used to describe something as excessively brutal or hardcore. This can be used to describe anything which fits into this category, from a face-melting metal riff to a gangland massacre. Commonly in usage among fans of the metal genre.
Metalhead 1: "Dude! Did you see that dude get his head blown off?!"
