Irish slang for a dishonest businessman, an amatuer or inexperienced tradesman passing himself off as a professional, a conman or cheat, rogue trader, someone who engages in dishonest practices to cheat unsuspecting members of the public out of their money, someone who Carries out substandard or shoddy work for a premium price, a notorious liar, faux businessman.

"To do a cuffe on it", "that fella is a pure cuffe", "he's not a businessman he's a cuffe", "he's worse than cuffe telling lies", "the world is full of cuffes".
