When you do not want people realizing you're dating someone for personal reasons, you label the woman as a roommate and that both of you have never been intimate. Instead of just coming out with your relationship you make a convoluted web of lies and deciet to cover any evidence of a relationship.

Used to describe your wife after years of marriage. She becomes your roommate when the sex dries up, she annoys you all the time, she constantly badgers you about drinking larry (see larry), and when she speaks it sounds like the teacher on Charlie Brown.

The reason why you are not sleeping right now. Not because he is annoying, but because he is one of your best friends even if he wasn't before rooming. The one who can make you laugh with random stuff he does in the safety of your room and vice versa. The kind that you can make endless inside jokes with, sometimes even daily.
