When you race by pushing empty shopping carts around in a store or shopping mall with people racing against you.
The sport usually always involves drifting the carts while racing.
It can be very risky in some ways because of people and other shoppers being in the way.
Security guards pursuits may be involved around the store or mall.

Cart shopping is when you go into your local grocery store, armed with your shopping list, but instead of taking your items off of the shelves, you can only take the items on your list from other patron's shopping carts. The trick is not getting caught. If you do get caught, you immediately have to forfeit all of your items, and go and but ten quarts of mayonnaise.
Old Lady: Oi! I saw you try and take that kielbasa! You, you, you. . . Cart Shopper! Now go on and get yourself some mayonnaaaaiiise!
Cartshopper: *places mayonnaise on cash register conveyer belt*
Cashier: . . . Cart shopping?
Cartshopper: *nods*

When someone fills their shopping cart with more items than they have money for. Then when they get to the register they keep asking for the subtotal or removing items until the price comes down to whatever money they have. These people tend to have no regard for causing the line to back up a wasting inordinate amounts of time.
Jerry: This Lady is crazy. Her bill was $500. She's already removed enough items to bring it down to $100 and she STILL doesn't have enough money.
Alex: Yeah it's gonna take forever for it to be our turn. I hate when people go shopping a la cart!
