The hamptons

A financially balanced area on eastern Long Island, although it does have more than its fair share of affluent people. If you want to visit a place with hardly as many "cidiots", "lidiots", or any other kind of idiot, try coming to the North Fork of Long Island (AKA jamesport, mattituck, cutchogue, southold, Greenport, and orient point). It's just as beautiful, hardly as expensive, and about half as busy in summer months.

Lori: "James and I decided to mix it up this year and rent a house in greenport, on the north fork." Peggy: "Isn't it all farms and vineyards up there? Yeah, not my thing, i'll stick to the hamptons." Lori: "Not entirely, there are a bunch of wonderful small towns and a lot of down to earth people."

the hamptons

A disgrace to the wealthy in society. It disgusts me how corporate executives and celebrities think they are so smooth because they venture to the hamptons during the summer. The hamptons is the welfare section of long island. If i hear one more obnoxious "Are you going to the Hampton Classic (equestrian show)," I don't know what I will do. It is sickening how city residents think their fliness factor is drastically increased simply from their owning a home in the poor hamptons. Enough of the hamptons. Someone owning a house there is no better than owning a cardboard box on Fifth Ave. You're impressing no one. hamptons=homeless
This place is disgusting me too much I have to go now.

Mr. Fly: Where are you headed?
Poor: I'm off to the hamptons.
Mr. Fly: I know welfare doesn't provide much, but i'll work harder so you can move out of your hamptons shack.

Hampton

A city located in SouthEastern Virginia. This is a place where all who venture into its city limits will immediately notice their lungs becoming clogged by the thick smog that resonates so profusely here. Due to the cities own natural filth, all of its residents are extremely depressed which accounts for Hampton having the nations 2nd highest suicide rate, only falling behind Seattle. The overwhelming stench of the Hampton air smells like decaying blue crabs and hooker residue.

To sum it all up Hampton is a filthy city and you should roll up your windows and lock your doors when driving through it.

Lu: Do you know anyone that lives in Hampton?

Ben: I knew this guy Adam, but he jumped in front of a bus.

Cheesy Hampton

A cheesy hampton is usually suffered by teenage blokes. They wake in the morning after dreaming about shagging some tart (or bloke) only to find they have stale sperm trapped around their dicks. Hampton Wick is a suburb in London, it is Cockney ryhming slang for Dick. Hence cheesy Hampton.

I say Roger, do you mind awfully and going to the bathroom and have a 'gentleman's wash. I can smell that Cheesy Hampton of yours, and it is fucking stinking out my house. Oh and please do not use my toothbrush whilst washing your pecker. Last time you were here, I had a mouthful of cheese you rotton bastard.

Hampton Roads

“HAMPTON ROADS” is a condensed version of the original name given by the region’s settlers to the harbor in southeastern Virginia known then as: Southampton’s Roadstead.

The term “Hampton” dates from the early 17th century when the first royal governor, Lord de la Ware, named the area in honor of the third Earl of Southampton, Henry Wriothesley, a major investor of the Virginia Company of London, the financial backers of the Jamestown settlers. And, “Roadstead” is an old English word for a protected harbor.

Some things never change: just as sports stadiums, libraries, and college buildings today are named for major sponsors and donors, so it was then.

“HAMPTON ROADS” also refers to the body of water between the Virginia Peninsula (to the North) and Southside, the southern part of southeastern Virginia. It is formed by the confluence of the James, Nansemond and Elizabeth rivers and flows into the Chesapeake Bay whose watershed covers 64,000 square miles and all or part of six states (NY, PA, WV, MD, DE and VA) and DC.

“HAMPTON ROADS” is one of the world’s biggest and deepest natural harbors, the largest in North America, and is home to the world’s largest naval base at Norfolk. “HAMPTON ROADS” has been well known within nautical and maritime communities for centuries.

“HAMPTON ROADS” was widely adopted as the name for the surrounding region in 1984 when two planning districts and Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) merged, placing the region in the nation’s top 50.

Yeah, I spend the summer at Virginia Beach, located in Hampton Roads.
