When you get rid of the erroneous, random folks that you've collected as facebook friends. Most you have not met, they just had a profile pic that appealed to you, you took the bait, and they accepted.
After face purging, I no longer needed to pay attention to club/crappy bar special invites of the women/Justin Gurians I invited to be my FB friends... finally, I was at peace.

rid of (delete) unwanted friends/acquaintances on online social networks, typically giving a sense of cathartic release.
I just had to do a friend purge on facebook. I don't like that many people.

Referring to when on Twitch streamer JSchlatt banned all DSMP related Twitch accounts from his stream as a return to the platform.
Glad I didn't get caught up in JSchlatt's Twitch purge!
