The Benjamin Button Corollary to Moore's Law

The inversely proportional relationship between the increase in computing power due to Moore's Law* and the age of those most able to make use of new technologies.

"Sheila knew that the Benjamin Button Corollary to Moore's Law was in effect when she had to ask her 6 year old niece to teach her how to use twitter."

Rule C Corollary

If it doesn't exist, you can also sell it.

God, Pokemon, the futures of the next generation, you name it. Rule C Corollary.

BEP Corollary

Being a member of the Black Eyed Peas automatically incurs a -100% penalty to bangability.

The BEP corollary rightly leaves Fergie at a solid 0.0%.

Levy Corollary

A principle that states "The diameter of a woman's hoop earrings is directly proportional to her level of promiscuity."

The Levy Corollary is a filter used by men when trying to identify potential sexual partners at a bar or club for single-night session of sexual intercourse.

Although the Levy Corollary can easily be used in a derogatory way (by women, their husbands/boyfriends who are within earshot, etc.), it should not. Attire conforming to the Levy Corollary is useful for both males and females, as it signals a conscious intent to find sexual activity. This helps to negate the chance of miscommunication or wasted effort on the behalf of both parties.

Based upon the Levy Corollary, I knew that chick with hoops the size of a CD was ready to go!

Johnson's Corollary

Johnson's Corollary to Godwin's Law states that as a discussion on the Internet grows longer, the likelihood of a person using a meme in place of a rational argument increases. That means that as more people talk on the Internet for a longer time, it becomes more and more likely that someone will use a meme instead of a rational argument to make their point. Johnson's Corollary further states that the use of a meme signals that the one introducing the meme has lost the argument.

Using a meme to "disprove" global warming is pure Johnson's Corollary.
That guy was making some good points until he brought in the meme making fun of Trump. Johnson's Corollary all the way.
She was winning the argument until she went all Johnson's Corollary with the memes.

Nerd's Corollary

The logical, if frustrating realistic corollary to Moore's Law regarding the number of transistors on a microchip. In as much as Moore's Law is used to estimate reductions in the cost per unit of computers, so will the reduced cost of the computers be converted to more processors purchased if the programmers are left unchecked.

The following conversation could have been avoided if Fred had applied the Nerd's Corollary to the purchase of new computers:

"Fred, I thought you said that if we bought the quad core machines, we could reduce the number of computers in the server room and save costs. Why do we have more servers than when we started and are over budget?"

"Well, we needed more machines because with the new speed and power, we discovered we could re-thread the re-factored process and parallelize the... (Fred's eyes glaze over and the rest of the information is lost in this discussion)"
