The inventor of the ladder. In the mid-1400's he discovered the use of vertically stacked beams that allowed humans to more efficiently climb vertically. Previous to his invention, piles of rocks were used to get up to high places.
After seeing his friends struggle to reach a high place with only a pile of rocks, Thomas Ladder remarked, "Ya'll fuckin niggas been standing on rocks the whole time. I got this, look at this, look at it!" *motions to ladder*

A practical joke in which a hotdog is gently leaned against the face of a sleeping friend, creating a tiny ladder between a pillow and the friend's face.
