Midland is the total opposite of nearby Saginaw, where as in Midland the worst 'crime' is speeding. Midland is home to things such as midland mall, Midland center for the arts, Dow gardens, Dow Diamond, the tridge and Northwood University, most of which have been funded in part or full by Dow.
