Dial-Up Modem

A computer that requires a telephone line to communicate to another machine on the other side and do a data transfer, often times connected to a PC for use

Person 1 (An newbie): "The Dial-Up modem made weird sounds while I waited for it to connect to the Internet....."

Person 2 (An expert): "Oh don't worry! It's speakers makes these sounds because it's built like a telephone and those sounds are analog signals being turned back into data signals just like the SSTV technology! But these sounds are to check if the connection has problems."

Modem Thug

1. A complete badass on the internet, but a coward in person. Insults people online, but acts completely phony in IRL. A person with twitter fingers.
2. A kick ass band.
