poetic license

The right that an artist (occasionally called artistic license) or writer has, to let him or her deviate from fact or conventional ideas. This is usually to make things more interesting, or try to introduce radical ideas.

This is commonplace from past to present, from the history of music or the history of games; companies and people have tried something crazy and new, and people liked them, like the Team-based Realism Genre that Counter-Strike introduced, or the RTS\FPS hybrid that Natural Selection and Savage have used.

"Sir, dolphins do not have giant rabbit ears..."
"It's uh, poetic license! Yeah..."

dead poetic

Great music, great lyrics, Great Band!

LOVE THEM!

"Lie where you wonโ€™t see yourself in that way.
And weโ€™ll ride to somewhere.

All we are is paralyzed from the face down.
Weโ€™re still alive with our fake smiles.
When the cameraโ€™s away."

Really awesome band! Dead Poetic

Poetic Cussing

The mixture of foul words and Shakespearean words tied in together to create a poetic poem or piece. There is sometimes rhyming among the words.

Poetic Cussing - The mixture of foul words and Shakespearean words tied in together to create a poetic poem or piece. There is sometimes rhyming among the words.

Example:

โ€œSwearโ€

Written by Psalmist

A day can suck.

A day can blow.

It can go to hell

or go to shit.

You can screw it

โ€” you can fuck it.

It can be damned like a soul.

It may kiss your ass, if you give it permission.

Or fuck you in the same ass once itโ€™s been presented.

It can shit on you,

piss on you;

a day can be a bitch.

When you think about it, a day can be all kinds of expletives.

A day can be pretty damn insensitive,

perverse, uncouth, reprehensible,

lascivious, immoral, without principal,

improper, indiscreet, a libertine,

vulgar, crude, ribald, lewd, deranged.

A day can be all of these things.

But just you wait, because tomorrow,

I swear,

it could be inexplicably chaste.

All credit is given to the person who wrote it and I do not claim that I wrote the poem.

Poetic Rizz

Poetic rizz is Another word for building a connection/how good you are with pulling and sustaining female attraction while also using poetic word grouping.

Male 1: Your eyes are like two sparkling jewels, catching the light in such a way that they seem to glow from within.
Female1: Oh my thank you. *blushes*
Male 2: Bro's got that poetic rizz.

wax poetic

To expound on something in prose like language. Wax as in the "waxing moon" means to increase, *not* originally a reference to vinyl.

She was prone to wax poetic about her childhood as a vagabond in Mexico, explaining in prose like detail how she and her mother lived out of their rusted old Chevy pickup truck.

poetic justice

Poetic justice is a literary device in which virtue is ultimately rewarded or vice punished, often in modern literature by an ironic twist of fate intimately related to the character's own conduct.

Poetic justice is referred to in "The Simpsons" episode "Boy Scoutz N the Hood." When Bart returns home from a Junior Campers meeting Homer asks "How was jerk practice boy? Did they teach you how to sing to trees and build crappy furniture out of useless wooden logs?" The chair that Homer is sitting on then breaks and he declares "D'oh! Stupid poetic justice."

dead poetic

A good band that used to have more of a hardcore influence. Now they are tearing up the rock and screamo world.

Dead Poetic is a crazy band.
