Business Voice

Speaking differently than how you would ever sound in any other setting while at work, usually deeper and with greater voice infliction. You may think you sound distinquished but it comes across as over the top to whoever you are speaking to.

Ash- Why are you speaking on the phone to clients like that?

Mike- Dude, that's my business voice.

Did you sleep that with that ugly PR girl last night?

Well... yeah dude, but it was strictly a business bone. I wanted to make a connection with one of her clients.

Business Mullet

A wardrobe choice in the business world where one is all business formal above the table and casual underneath the table.

Extreme business mullet is when one elects to wear no clothes underneath the table. Usually only occurs at investment banking firms / wolf of wallstreet environments.

With everybody working from home during the plague, I've decided to go with a business mullet for today's video conference.

business tropical

A style of dress on the spectrum of black tie, business formal, and business casual. Business tropical is, in a sense, the next step down from business casual in terms of formality. Business tropical is relatively open ended, but allows for shorts, interesting patterns, unusual ties, and the like. A certain amount of coordination is expected. Tennis shoes are acceptable, but should be specialty shoes or match the outfit. Specialty tennis shoes are acceptable. Hats are acceptable and even encouraged. This style of dress is especially appropriate for tropical-like climates. Distinct from business jungle because it is more formal, and tropical print shirts are seen as passe and out of touch.

The meeting with the potential investors is on Saturday, followed by a barbecue. Dress is business tropical.
