The Villainous compliment to City of Heroes, also a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), where players create villainous characters and spread crime as they see fit. Characters are divided by origin and archetype.
Origins: Magic, Mutant, Natural, Science, Technology
Archetypes: Corruptor, Dominator, Brute, Stalker, Mastermind
Corruptor: Primarily ranged offense with secondary defense, buff and/or healing
Dominator: Primarily control powers with secondary offensive powers
Mastermind: Primarily summons henchmen, secondary defense, buff and/or healing
Stalker: Primarily melee combat with secondary personal defensive powers, has stealth ability
Brute: Primarily melee combat with secondary personal defensive powers, more hitpoints than a stalker but cannot stealth
City of Villains also expanded the PvP (Player vs Player) aspect of City of Heroes, which started with no PvP. "The Arenas" were introduced to test PvP, and City of Villains was the actual implication of PvP. PvP is not required, however, and in either game one can stay in their own "hero" or "villain" zones and not encounter other fightable players.

Slang term for National City, CA located in San Diego. Given this name because many parts of National City look dirty, old, and sometimes really ugly.

The term arose from an online scam involving a livejournal user named city_glitter who allegedly attempted to raise money for her credit card debt by claiming her cat had been set on fire and needed emergency surgery. When another user foxfurred her in a live chat, she repeatedly attempted to cover the scam with more lies.
When David's false story about finding a finger in his chili made the news, he attempted to cover his tracks with city glitter.

City-Data, also known as Chitty-Data and Censored-Discussion, is a website that fronts as a city information site, but is really nothing but a lame chat forum that is run like a nazi concentration camp.
After you have made a few posts, you'll likely notice they have been deleted. This is because C-D is possibly the most heavily moderated and censored forum on the net, with the most f'ed up TOS where the gestapo mods will delete your posts, issue infractions, or ban you just because they feel like it. This is most common in the biggest boiling shit cesspool on the site, the politics & other controversies forum.
