canteen culture

The collective behaviour and influence of a group, made up of it's myths and stories, dominant members, attitudes, interests, repsect or dislike for one another and others, gossip, rituals, initiations, style and language. Often the source of rumour and speculation, or where discontent is first voiced, acceptance within canteen culture is to be bonded to the group in more than just membership of the official team. Can be a good and bad thing within an organisation, generating or destroying morale. Origin - British Police Forces circa mid 1990's, now widely accepted as part of most organisations.

"Although now a member of the team, he was not part of it's canteen culture"

penis culture

n. (the adj. is β€œpenis-cultural”) The term comes from Part II of Maggie Paley’s book β€œThe Book of the Penis” (Grove Press, 2000). A conflation of late-adolescent and hip-hop culture, traditional sexist and homophobic attitudes in young men which makes them consider anything outside their everyday experience and their obsession with bodily functions and especially their own penis as β€œgay”. For instance, in penis culture, a child collecting seashells as a hobby is β€œgay”.

The penis-cultural movie reviewers weren’t kind to β€œMeet the Spartans”.

Any film that is not the adaptation of a comic-book can be seen as an insult to American penis culture.

Although the phrase's true origin is unknown, it best suits it's meaning. Cultural terrorism can be seen as similar to trolling, but with a sarcastic or tongue in cheek twist. Purposes are to entertain, scare, anger, and overall educate the victim.

Cancel Culture

A favorite phrase of Donald Trump, Jr. and Fox News hosts.

Cancel Culture is a phrase frequently used by conservatives when they believe they are unfairly being called out for bad behavior by their accusers. In real-world terminology "cancel culture" is used as an excuse for not wanting to accept accountability.
