two genders

the truth many people cant accept. (*cough*, Gen Z)

why are we lying to people, and telling them thier mental illnesses should be celebrated? We all know there is only two genders.

gender identity

The individual identification of a person's gender, as defined by that person. Usually used in reference to transgender, genderqueer, or transsexual people -- people whose gender identities differ from their physical sex.

Jack is cisgender, and his gender identity is male. He's got a penis and XY chromosomes.

Jay has been really confused about her gender identity lately; she thinks maybe she's an androgyne, but she's not certain.

Jane is a transsexual woman, so her gender identity is pretty solidly feminine.

Tumblr Gender

A non-binary gender identity used to describe a highly specific experience, usually coined by eggs. People who identify with these genders are harshly bullied by both cishets and queerfolk and often are labeled as attention whores , despite just wanting to express themselves.

as time passes, people who identify with these genders usually choose to identify with a more established gender identity that also describes them. This does not mean they were making up their experience for oppression point or some other fake reactionary-currency, they just found a gender that also describes their experience (in broader, less specific language) that's easier for cishets to understand

Lilly-luna: Did you hear? Desert just came out as aquagender!

Brayden: I'm glad xe trust us enough to be honest about xyr personal experiences, I just hope the frogs don't attack xim for having a tumblr gender...

Lily-luna: They won't. I'll defend that hatchling with my life.

Brayden: Xe's lucky to have such a good big sis <3
