Determining someone's place of origin by checking out their cell phone number's area code. Even if they move cross country, people often keep their cell phone numbers to avoid losing contact with friends, or, simply because it's convenient.
Interpreting their retained area code gives a ready glimpse into the history of the person.
Dude1: That girl is hot! Is she from around here?

Chino and Ontario are examples of a 909 area code city on the brink of collapse into social, welfare and economic chaos. Gang ridden and without high paying jobs, most of the residents sell no income mortgage loans or get by through pyramid schemes.

The raid that was supposed to happen on the September 20th, 2019, with almost 3 million people saying they would come, but turned into a festival with 150 people attending, instead. It was enjoyable either way.
