The Law of Candidature

The (admittedly largely unfounded) theory which posits that the quality of a pool of candidates exponentially increases in proportion to the length of the application period.

Regrettably, Oliver Jones was powerless to extend the school newspaper's application deadline for the 2015-16 Leadership Team, despite agreeing with basic tenets of The Law of Candidature.
