the stripess that emo and scenster tend to gravitate to. -scene is not em0. they are 2 distinct sub-cultures.-. tthe stripes can be any assortment of c0l0rs and size; em0 sweatters tent to have thin lines; tiny. repetitive logos are also common.
Example:
'wow. that sweater/shirt is so emo. it has uber radd emo stripes .'

Conscious hip-hop (Common, Talib Kweli), R&B, Wu-Tang Clan, and the Backpacker culture can all be considered black emo aka nerd rap. Purveyors of Black emo are African-American musicians who make music about for the bling, benzes and bitches, but to propoke thoughtful introspection on behalf of the listener about the state of the Black community. They are often Black Nationalists. Kanye West can marginally be put into this genre.
Dead Prez, Common, Mos Def, can all be included in the black emo genre.

A horrible combination of the color brown and the worst mental condition possible. This is possibly the worst form of emo, for not only do they want to slit there wrists, they don't have enough money to buy a razor with wich they will spill there useless emo blood.
One day Juan was walking down the street. As always he was looking down at the ground, and he happened upon a penny. Without hessitation he leaped for the penny, only to accidentally nudge it just enough to send it down a nearby gutter. Upon realizing the penny was lost forever, he reached into his pocket only to find it empty, for he didn't even have enough money to buy a razor. Being unable to slit his worthless wrists, he jumped into the path of an oncoming car.
Juan, as you most likely figured out, was an emo-mexican.

a person that listens to very catchy depressing music about how they want things to change in their life but don't do anything about it except feeling really bad for themselves and thinking sadness is emotion. Also, most wear cloths that are seen to be "origional" or somethin.. not like anyone else wears tha sh|t or anything...
if you really want something good to happen your life, go find it..
if you have to live life you might as well have some fun..
