the turnip king was a tyrant. he lived in a castle made of dirt and ruled over all the vegetables. one day the farmer came and took the turnip king. the turnip king said "you can not eat me. i am the turnip king" but the farmer did not listen and he made the turnip king into soup. the vegetables stormed the castle and took the turnip queen, the turnip taughter, and the bastard son and left them out for the rabbits. the vegetables were then ruled by an elected potato.

Someone who likes to delude themselves into thinking they're way cooler, powerful, interesting or successful with women than they actually are. Refers to the story trope of the awkward loser/nerd actually being the mastermind behind everything unbenounced to everyone, which is clearly just a wet fantasy of the gamma writers.
Look at this guy, he can barely put two words together without me cringing into oblivion and he's standing there saying he's slept with 150 women in his lifetime. What a secret king.

A place where it is possible to own a $1,000,000 plus house and not the land it sits on. All the land is owned by the Archibald family and leased to the other residents. Leases are for a fixed number of years and are good for the original lessee only, anything that violates the terms of these very complicated leases can result in voiding the lease and having to sell or tear down your building. The difficulty in buying into King Lake is really a protection for social climbers, if you step on the wrong toes you can lose your lease, your house and be booted out with no legal recourse.
Edmund bought his king Lake place for a song the former owner lost his lease and had to sell the house or tear it down.

King of the Hill is an American animated series created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, for FOX. It centers on the Hills, a small-town Methodist family in Texas. It attempts to retain a realistic approach, seeking humor in the conventional or mundane aspects of everyday life. Judge and Daniels conceived the series after a run with Judge's Beavis and Butt-head on MTV, and the series debuted on the Fox Network on January 12, 1997, becoming a hit early on. The series' popularity has also led to syndication around the world, including every night on Cartoon Network's late night programming block Adult Swim. The show has risen to become one of FOX's longest-running series, and the second longest-running American animated series, behind The Simpsons. In 2007, it was named by Time magazine as one of the top 100 greatest television shows of all time. King of the Hill has won two Emmy Awards and has been nominated for seven since its inception.
I'm so embarrassed to watch King of the Hill now that I've moved to Texas.
